Spring has well and truly sprung, and this month, we're here to put a little extra bounce in your step with some fantastic dance events!
Whether you're a seasoned dancer or taking your very first steps, NI Dancesport in Belfast, Northern Ireland has something special lined up just for you.
From our very first exclusive Sequence Dance Practice Evening on Sunday 6th April to the new monthly Ballroom & Latin Practice session in Lisburn on Sunday 13th April, plus exciting news about our Gala Ball, there’s plenty to discover in this month’s update!
Sequence Dance Practice Evening – Sunday 6th April
Date: 6th April 2025
Time: 7pm - 10pm
Location: Shaftesbury Bowling Club, Annadale Avenue, Belfast
This month, we're launching a brand new Sequence Dance Practice Evening - the first event where we will be focusing purely on sequence dancing! Come and join us for a 3 hour practice session for Classical & Modern Sequence dancers, on Sunday 6th April from 7PM.
Each month, we will focus on 2 or 3 dances, giving those who've recently learned them a chance to refresh, or to allow people who are new to the dance to catch up, before dancing those dances multiple times. This month, we're focusing on Dominque Waltz, Gucci Swing and Souter Swing!
We have tea & coffee around 8.30pm and then we'll spend the rest of the evening dancing a selection of Classical & Modern Sequence dances on request. A full 3 hours of assisted practice with dance scripts and videos available on the night.
Ballroom & Latin Practice Evening in Lisburn – Sunday 13th April 2025

Location: Lisburn Masonic Club,
Belsize Road, Lisburn
A full 3 hours of assisted practice with expert help available. The first 1 hour will be tuition by Adele Marsh in Ballroom & Latin dance technique. Then 2 hours of Ballroom & Latin dance practice music.
This evening is perfect for dancers looking to refine their technique and receive feedback.
Highlights:
6pm: Ballroom Jive tuition for medal test students
7pm to 9pm: Mixed Ballroom & Latin Practice music
Cha Cha Cha Technique with Stephen Vincent – Sunday 27th April 2025

Time: 3 PM - 5PM
Location: Vault Artist Studios, 116 Shankill Road, Belfast
NI Dancesport is delighted to host Stephen Vincent, fresh from the last series of Dancing the Stars Ireland. A former UK Latin American Champion and a leading dancer in the West End show 'Burn the Floor' for 12 years, Stephen brings us a fantastic opportunity to focus on Latin technique and a professional level.
This 90 min Cha Cha Cha workshop will put you through your paces and get you competition or exam ready! This workshop is aimed at upper Beginners / Improvers that already have the basics of Cha Cha Cha and are working towards their first exams or competitions.
Doors open at 3pm for warm-up, class starts promptly at 3.30pm
£15 for non-members, £12 for members
